No manual tedious copy and pasting
of translated text with its inherent risk of introducing error |
-
|
Faster throughput of translated material
enables tight timelines to be met |
| - |
Exponential reduction of translation
costs through leveraging makes translation and ongoing updates
of large site environments feasible |

Automation of quality management process |
How does TRANSport work?
TRANSport creates an environment
to which the CMS can export content as XML. The following schematic
shows a typical configuration although the interface protocol for
the interface can be flexible (SOAP or XMLRPC) allowing us to integrate
with different CMS environments

The interface is straightforward to implement
and integration with the CMS can often be completed within a few
days.
How we translate
- Content exported as XML is received by TRANSport, which automatically
notifies the designated Project Manager that new files have arrived.
The Project Manager authorizes translation if this function is
required (or the workflow can be totally automated if no pre-translation
file preparation is required).
- TRANSport archives the new XML source files and identifies each
file as part of version management.
- TRANSport automatically distributes the files to the correct
translation groups with automated email notification giving translation
criteria.
- The XML text content is translated using a professional translation
productivity environment which delivers on average 40% cost saving
over traditional translation methods.
- The translated content is checked and routed back through TRANSport,
notifying the Project Manager that the roundtrip is being completed.
- TRANSport archives the translated XML relating it to the original
source file.
- TRANSport QA’s the XML ensuring that the file integrity
has been retained.
- The Project Manager can then review the files before releasing
them to the CMS, or if the process is automated TRANSport will
deliver the translated files directly back to the CMS.
- The CMS is notified by TRANSport that the translated files have
been returned and that the transaction is completed. A complete
audit trail is provided.
User Benefits
-
|
Account data can be accessed
at any time via a browser, allowing the User to monitor activity
at any time.s |
-
|
Translation Memories are automatically
updated with every translation cycle, improving future leveraging
capability |
-
|
TRANSport assists with quality management.
Translation rules can be automatically distributed with each
new batch of filest |
TRANSport then automates the workflow process, enabling
fast processing of XML files with no risk of corrupting the data
when being translated.
Adopting TRANSport allows users
to retain the advantages of cost and quality leveraging which can
often be lost if no direct workflow between CMS and translation
is established.
Translated files undergo QA and are archived
as part of the roundtrip back to the CMS.
TRANSport provides comprehensive
activity reporting via a browser interface allowing clients to monitor
work progress. Archived source and target files can be accessed
at any time.
TRANSport can also be used by organisations
that need a central translation resource; one that can be monitored
at several user levels. TRANSport delivers an environment
that is secure, can be used by multiple users within an organisation
and provides a complete, downloadable audit trail for each user.
