Cameron set to call for European trade boost

The UK Prime Minister is set to call for the creation of new jobs and trade across the continent.

As part of the latest summit of EU leaders, David Cameron will assess the overall economic situation within Europe and aim to revive market confidence in the process.

Many UK firms have already branched out overseas as part of their localisation plans.

And now, in a series of pre-summit events, the Prime Minister has called on other European nations to support a jobs and growth agenda.

Growth is likely to play on the minds of all the EU leaders who are attending the summit. A document due to be agreed by them warns that competitiveness is also something which needs to be improved.

The proposed statement reads: “We have to actively enhance growth and competitiveness, so as to create jobs, preserve our social models, and ensure the wellbeing of our people.”
