One clothing label will be hoping its business success is not lost in translation when it opens its first shop in the UK.
Hi Panda will open a unit in Kingly Court in London’s Soho area, hoping to repeat sales successes seen in both China – where brand creator Ji-Ji is from – and France.
The label appears on hooded tops, jeans, t-shirts and bags, not to mention branded “panda statues”.
HI Panda UK‘s Ben Hui said: “Now is the perfect time for Hi Panda to expand to the UK. We’re a confident, creative and ambitious brand so it’s only right we have a presence in London, one of the most vibrant capital cities in the world.
“As the first fashion brand from mainland China to arrive in the UK, we’re immensely proud of what we’ve achieved so far and look forward to building on this success throughout 2012.”
The shop in London will also showcase work from local artists, as well as hosting music events and other exhibitions.
